Certified Massage Therapist

I grew up in an artistic family enjoying drawing and photography in particular. After high school I studied art at the local community college thinking I would become a graphic designer like both of my sisters. In my last semester I read a novel where one of the characters was a massage therapist. I had never received a massage before, but something just clicked and I knew that was what I wanted to do.

That fall of 1994 I began my training at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. It was the best school experience of my life. I felt like I was home. When I graduated I couldn’t believe I was getting paid to do something I loved so much.

14 years later I continue to love helping people experience deep relaxation, healing and relief from pain. I have built upon my foundation of Swedish, Deep Tissue Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy learned in school with modalities such as Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Chi Kung Healing and Healing Touch. I became a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner in 2001.

My practice is very client-centered. It is my priority to listen and understand what each person needs, customizing the session with the appropriate modalities and amount of pressure. My style is gentle yet firm, understanding the need for the right amount of pressure to release tension, and also the importance of deep relaxation for healing on all levels.

I have been in private practice throughout my whole career as a massage therapist, often working within a chiropractors office. I have a great deal of experience helping clients recover from injuries and chronic pain. I also worked within an OB/GYN’s office, providing prenatal massage to the doctor’s patients.

I live in Fort Collins with my husband Brian and our two dogs, Gigi and LA. When I am not working, I enjoy making jewelry, reading, hiking, and playing with my pups!
